| Picture taken from the inside of vehicle while crossing the Dokani Valley; the valley of the smaller Buddhas of Bamian. There are and 8 feet buddha and some ancient forst situated down this valley. Unfortunately even this buddha statue wasn't spared. Locals say that unlike the larger statues this one had seen little destruction through history. |

It is so refreshing to see green in Afghanistan. The only pictures we see on the news are dry and desolate. Thanks for sharing a beautiful image of your country.
