[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These soft sedimentary rocks on the north coast of Ireland have been carved through centuries into a labyrinth of caves and arches, magical headlands of distinguishable forms rise out of the ocean with names like Shelagh's Head, the Giants Head, the Wishing arch.

I shot this on Wednesday morning as the sun was rising but I made a few errors in exposure as the light was rather tricky and my grad filters were not balancing out the dark land in shade and the much brighter sky. Also the sun was rising more inland so I just picked the wrong spot.

I would really need to try again and take a couple exposures one for sky and land etc. I did try this but one leg on my tripod would not lock and by this time my fingers were ready for falling off with the cold.

Anyhow, this shot Iv posted was taken when the opportune light had gone so I used reluctantly my tobacco filter.

Beatiful POV. The colors really attract the eye. I haven't been able to make such a stuning photo on my trip to Ireland.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Stephen
Beautiful view and very well captured with excellent composition.
Thanks for sharing!

I like the colour tone the tobacco filter has produced. It is stunning scenery and although you are obviously not too happy with the result, I am very pleased you have shared it with us as I find it nice to view. Many thanks.

fantastic one Stephen,
very nice atmosphere in the shot, it is taken through a specialist, i don't know his name, little joke, very good photo, good job.

You acheived an interesting effect with your filter. I'm just starting to use filters and have had good luck with a ND grad filter. Have not yet tried the two exposure/combination method. Not knowing what the scene actually looked like, the tobacco filter effect is interesting...but I suspect the actual image is burned in your mind as one of those shots you almost got...but missed. To the rest of us, I bet we'll agree that it is a great shot.

Such an uplifting image Stephen! Nice colors in the sky. Interesting rock formations that provides places in the image for me to rest my eyes. Your depth of field and point of view I find pleasing. Got to love those clouds!

Hi Steven,
You really have an eye for the shot. An excellent composition and POV. Superbly done, with no exaggeration. You da man! ;-)

Another fabulous landscape Stephen.Fabulous sky in this one.
Andrew.

Nowdays with PS, nobody uses this type of filters which are great for creative photography. This is a very beautiful view, with very nice tones, although a bit "extramundi" :)
If some day I go to Ireland, I hope you take to this places, I just love them. Have a nice day.

Another great shot Stephen,
Good detail, colours and sharpness.
Composition and exposure are good. Good POV and framing.
Thanks for posting, have a great week.
Your land/seascapes have encouraged me to invest in a set of Lee Filters. I hope to try them out in a few weeks.

Hı Stephen

Hello Stephen,
This is really nice shot. Maybe technically not perfect, but very pleasant to look at. Love the colours and gloomy mood.

Félicitations pour cette belle composition tout est parfaits. L'utilisation du filtre tobacco rehausse les teintes et offre un joli contraste.

Merci Stephen!
