A woman came to the beach to feed the birds. They came by dozens to feed on the scarps she had brought. This one flew over me in the right angle to allow the sun to go through the wings. From the head I would say it is an immature.

Indeed you've captured a beautiful moment of this bird in flight.
The composition and cropping is great with ample space for the bird to fly into. The exposure and lighting is very well handled. The colours are great and the DOF is excellent.
