This morning the heron flew around me and landed on small river in our town. Light conditions were not ideal, but I tried make photo with snow on background. In my town is about 80 cm snow layer and I hope the spring will come to our country in next weeks.
This heron lives in my town since 1998 and it stays over winter here. Often I can see it above my head or in water of our river, but today it was first time, then I can get its photo.
Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea) - volavka popelavá in Czech
The Grey Heron is large bird, standing at 1 m tall with a wingspan of 1.5 m.
Grey Herons eat whatever they can catch: fish, amphibians, insects, spiders and even small mammals (rodents), reptiles, small birds.

Nice picture, it's quite gloomy and maybe a bit noisy, but the POV and framing are very good and overall the picture looks interesting.
