This is a kind of "natural clip" this tree had developed. Some years ago the guards of one huntig reserve fitted in this tree this small plate with nails for mark the limits of the reserve. With the years and the growth of the tree, the nails fell off, but strangly the tree had find a way to keep the plate in place.

Esta foto diz respeito a uma reserva de caça de Coruche, onde á alguns anos para delimitação da mesma forma colocadas estas placas. Com o passar dos anos , os pregos que seguravam esta placa acabaram por cair devido á ferrugem e ao crescimento da árvore. No entanto a árvore desenvolveu esta muito curiosa forma de segurar a placa no sitio |
