[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken yesterday at my local swannery in Dorset.
This mallard was determind not to put the other legg down whilst myself and another photographer took pictures.

About the Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos)
Common, widespread, and adaptable, able to thrive in all kinds of enviroments from town parks to coastle marshes, for the Mallard is the most familiar of all the ducks. The breeding male's glossy green head and whit neck-ring are instantly recognizable, and both sexes sport a characteristic purple-blue wing patch or speculum throughout the year.
Most farmyars duck are drived from the Mallard, and interbreeding has produced a range of variants on the original plumage pattern that can be confusing. Yet they still have their basic mallard character, and are often easy to identify.
