What an extravagant outfit for this little guy, Gerson.
Fantastic details and beautiful colors.
The whites are just a tad OE, but it is really difficult to get them right. A wonderful POV to show off all his bristly appendages.
I would love to find out what it grows up to be. TFS. ; )

ainda me lembro da primeira vez que recebi uma "queimada" de uma taturan...era essa aí...
Não conhço a especie ou genero, só sei que dói.
Bela foto, perfeito DOF, POV e nitidez, as cores estão ótimas, apenas acredito que falta alguma nota :( sobre o bicho e sobre a tecnica utilizada.

Oi gerson, como vai?
desta lagarta ,se não me engano irá sair um linda mariposa com asas laranjadas e com dois grandes olhos . irá demorar aproximadamente 5 meses para esta metamorfose acontecer.
Acompanhei o desenvolvimento de uma desta.
fotografei a lagarta, vi quando ela fez de algumas folhas seu casulo e 5 meses depois ela emergiu.

Hi Gerson
What an interesting caterpillar with the little pine trees growing out of it. I am sure it must watch out during Christmas time as the little elves and fairies might want to use its fir trees.
The composition is great with the angle of the twig leading the insect into the frame. The colours are vibrant and the DOF is excellent showing lovely details. The darkish BG is complimentary to the brightly coloured caterpillar and the exposure was spot-on.

That's a nice caterpilar, with great colors and strange "hairs" on his back. You have captured him very well. Very sharp, with wonderful details. It comes out very well on the dark BG. Great work !

Hola gerson,
Muy bonita foto de esta clase de orugas muy similar a una de Argentina y que espero publicar. buen uso del flash, los colores y el foco buenos, juntos con el fondo.
Seguro que es del género Automeris; no hay que tocarlas porque son urticantes.
Pienso también que sería lindo en lo posible poder leer alguna nota al respecto, como la ha obtenido, sobre lo fotografiado, etc.

Hello Gerson,
Very nice and incredible caterpillar. I wonder what species is that. Maybe it's not the best light you could imagine for that shot (diffused light would be better) but the object is unusual.
