White Lion
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The male lion in the photograph is one of three white lions in a private zoo at Mogo NSW.
There are only 300 examples of this species left and all are in captivity.
White lions are affected by a recessive genetic condition known as leucism. This causes a loss of normal pigmentation in the fur and skin, however, the lips, eyes and paw pads remain the same as the tawny lion. |

Hi John
Was this a roar or a yawn! Which ever, it was a well timed shot. Look at those huge teeth. :-)
Very good capture John. bush behind the lion looks bit shaky however the subject came out very good.
