[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken today along a spawning channel in the Chilliwack River Valley. I thought the lighting on this grssy log was pretty sweet.

Hello Tim,

I thnk there are some nice elements to this image. I too like the grasses. Did you blur the BG in postprocessing? It seems like a lot of blur for f5.6 but I'm no expert on fstops. My personal feeling is that if the log/grasses are the subject, too much attention goes to the blurry rocks in the background. For some reason they grab my eye and make me want to blink??? I did a workshop to see if I could make the grasses truely the focal point of the picture.

Hello Tim,
Beautiful play of lighting here, and you capture it well!
Nice sharp details and strong colours, well done!

Hi Tim,
I like your options to shot this landscape: light and exact DOF are very good. The water in the first plane is fine.

Hi Tim,
Great idea in using your focal point on the beautiful colored grass. To go into the critique from Evelynn, Maybe a f-stop of 3.0 would have given you a more blurry b/g. Beside that. Great photo with excellent color, POV and light.

Niek
