| I was driving to work at a Friday when I spotted a dead bird at the roadside actually did I pass, but I was curious and went back expecting to find some kind of hawk In stead I found a Tawny owl still warm and in good condition Its now in my freezer and waiting to get stuffed - I know its a little sad sight but its properly the only way I ever will get a photo of this fine kind of bird. |

Yes, a sad story, Jeppe. I noticed that preybirds are very vulnerable. When they stand on a fence pole, as it happens often on some highways, and they take off when a car approaches, they fly slowly, often taking a dangerous direction. It's a pity it happens with birds already endangered.
A very sad shot, but that's nature.
Picture a bit over exposed.

This is really sad and sickening at the same time, yet it happens and we have to deal with it.
Thanks for posting
It is really a sad story however it is very common too. It probabply wasn't quick enough to get away from one of these teel beasts running all over the roads.
