Hello, my name is Ara the beautifull parrot
Green-winged macaw - Ara chloroptera
Where do I live? Tropical areas of South Africa. Tropical rain forests and also free scenery form lowlands to highlands.
What do I eat? the seeds, nuts, berries, young tree shoots.
Body length: 90 cm, tail 44-53 cm, wing 38-42 cm, weight 0,9-1,4 kg
What about my reproduction? Our ladies lays 2 eggs,
and are sitting on them 28 days.
Our childs leave our nest in three mounths.
How long do I live? People say more than 100 years!!!
My interests: I live in twosome, and we stay together all life.
And our youger ones have darker iris. |
