I kept you regular informed about the swan family. Yesterday night 3 litle swans were killed, so now only 3 of the 7 left after 9 days. Maybe the yolly joker?

Here you see them leaving and one of the dead ones drifting.
It is all nature but after following the birds so close each day it still gives a sad feeling.

Hello Hendrik,

I wondered how many would survive. So now there are three! I know it is nature's way, but I need to keep some distance as it is too hard to witness up close.

I am also a watercolor painter so I enjoyed your watercolors on your web site. They 're very good.

Sad act in the drama of life!
Very good shot, Hendrik. Very sharp image rich in details except that the dead one in the FG leaves one depressed.
