Isn't it the real art? Look at the design of the wings!!

According to flight times in Ankara;

%95 it is a
"Tomares nesimachus" -Levantine Vernal Copper

%5 it is a
"Tomares nogelli" -Anatolian Vernal Copper

Two of them are endangered species...

Hi Emin,
I agree with you: this is real art. One the most beautiful butterfly wing design! Great photo: excelent color, DOF, POV, sharpness and BG.
TFS, José M.

Impressive shot impressive subject Emin

Good effort, Emin.
The focus is a little fuzzy and the BG is less than satisfactory.
Better shooting conditions next time!

Super stunning photo of this Lycaenidae!
No words to describe this photo!
More then 2 points! Above scale photo!
Keep on going and TFS!

Hi Emin,

very pretty little species, well presented with perfect details and naturalistic colours.
The appearance seems to fit perfectly to the description of:
"Tomares nogelii (Heinrich-Schäffer 1851)",
as I could look up in L.G.Higgins, N.D.Riley: Die Tagfalter Europas und Nordwestafrikas.
But there is a picture in the web of a Lycaenid that looks quite identical to your image - coming with the ID "Tomares nesimachus (Oberthür, 1893)". (http://www.lycaena.de/nesimachus.html).
So I think your way of writing down an ID probability is very well decided.
Rarely presented, unusual and pretty species - as we can see from the investigation. Thank you for the contribution!

Best regards,
Peter

Hello Emin,

Great picture of this little but colorful and artistic butterfly! Sharpness is good even if the top of the wings are a little bit blurry. Colours looks very natural! Good dof and bg!
TFS
Michel
