[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have a confession to make with this shot. While I had been sitting for quite some time watching this fellow spinning his web, I decided to see what effect putting a piece of dead grass would have on his building skills. I was absolutely amazed on how quick he not only removed the grass but also rebuilt his web which you can see him doing here. They are truly amazing creatures.

Hi Dean
félicitation pour ce beau macro
la présentation ,les couleurs et les détails sont jolis.
Merci et au revoir....JP

Hi Dean,
An excellent macro on this spider. I like the comp. and framing with the spiders placement in the frame. Nice sharp detail. The clean backround shows the web very well. They are amazing!
Scott

Hi Dean,
An original composition that shows the spider in a acrobatic posture. The neutral BG lets see the tiny web.

Interesting composition from bottom. Great BG. TFS

Hi Dean,
Interesting composition and a great view of the underside detail & markings...Some fill would've made it even better.
Well done and TFS!

Superb framing, your macro skills are certainly improving all the time. Again, great detail in a nice sharp image focused on the spider with a nice light background to put emphasis on him even more.
Best wishes
Mark

EEE!
I hate spiders but this is quite a view! Great details and well chosen moment to make a photo it looks like he is doing morning excercises-8leged push ups!:)

It's a very interesting subject, it's a shame we couldn't see video!
I think the image looks a little soft compared to some other close-ups we see here, I think that's probably due to the close-up lens.

Dean,

Great Composiotion, POV and DOF. The BG gives it very good detail and the clarity of the image is great too. TFS,
Sheriff

Great composition. The web, the pearch and the spider all work well together here. Nice detail and POV.

Hi Dean,
Great spider capture!
Interesting point of view, from the bottom side...
Well composed image, provoked action very nicely captured!
Good clarity in colours, fine details...
Greetings,
Pablo -

A simple experiment gave you a beautiful "creation", Dean. I like the composition with the oblique line of the grass, the lines of the legs and the circle of the body. The neutral background is enhanced by the web. Its colour suits the subject perfectly. Well done.
