Great Radz.
Very good details, composition and colours.
About the wire, the bird must have something to sit on.;-)
Very good work.

I really like the composition: crossing diagonal lines. Good sharpness and colours. Welcome to TN.
Perfect composition Radz and very nice colours on the bird. Good sharpness and plenty of details in the plumage. About the wire - next time try to lure him out on a twig instead ;-). I personally find the wire ok as Gert says the bird has to sit on something.

Very good details on the Hoopoe Rads. I have them in my garden and they are usually on the ground, which is not a good POV as well
Very well done and thanks for posting.

Before reading your note, I thought this shot looked like it was taken towards dusk, and I was right. This is wonderfully frame and shows all the characteristics of this odd bird. The wire is fine, many species perch on non-natural objects, no need to worry, you have done a really good job here.

Hi Radz
Love crisp clear shot of this bird. Very good plumage detail. I don't find the overhead wire a distraction at all. Congratulation on a very nice image. TFS
The geologist pick, I have called these guys - this is a very good, picture, even though you had to shoot "up" to get the hoepoe.
A small comment - thry NOT to let the perch - wire, eun directly out of the corner, crop a little bit lerger below and right. so that the wire start slightly below or ab0ve the corner - try this, and see for yourself how it changes the compositionand impact!

You certainly have a way with birds, radz. They seem to model for you. The lines in this composition work well.
I noticed the workshop you did following mogens-j's suggestion. I did one too, just to add a third version of this lovely photo.
