Scarce Fritillary - caterpilar

Euphydryas maturna - family Nymphalidae.
There was long, cold and windy spring this year in Poland. When I've visited Biebrza National Park I've expected that I could found butterflies of Euphydryas maturna. Unfortunetely I've found only two caterpilars. But also caterpilars of these species are attractive ;-)
Usually the adult butterflies are on the fly in June. You can found them on wet meadows or marshy forests. The wingspan is between 40 and 45 mm. It's protected species here but also in many other countries in Europe. |

Nice shot of this wonderful caterpillar. Beautiful colors and details, nice DOF and BG, and also a good POV. I would have cropped the photo at the bottom, but it's just my opinion, still a great shot. Very well done !
Valérie.

Cześć,
trzeba mieć fart aby trafić na taką gąsienicę. Bdb jakość, fajne kolory i ostrość. Dobra robota.
