I just read your comment in the forum, I know what you feel, it was the same for me some month ago when I posted my first picture ! ;-) You will see that people here on Tn are very nice, and always ready to help you.
This is a nice shot. I love the texture of the skin. Beautiful natural colors and good composition. There would be more details if picture was bigger, but after you have read extramundi's advice, I'm sure that you will be able to post bigger pictures from now on. Well done !

I checked one of my books and this looks like a Western toad Crapaud de l'Quest Bufo borreas boreas (order Anura, family Bufonidae) The book also mentions that if you handle a toad to wash your hands afterward. Toads don't cause warts, but the large glands on the head produce a toxin intended to irritate the mouth of a predator. The Book is call "Handbook of the Canadian Rockies" by Ben Gadd
NIce colour and composition of this little toad, he sure blends into his surrounding.

Welcome Karan to TN. I read your note on the forum - good way for us to meet you. We all started just like you, thinking, 'no one will want to look at my photos,' but some of us have stayed and learnt so much from each other.
I agree that you should post your photos larger - up to 800 Pixels wide/high. And don't always have your subject right in the centre of the photo. Otherwise, a good one to start with, a very interesting looking toad. Good job.

Hi Karan. This is a difficult shot, camouflage and bright textures are always a pain to get right.
If you used the 800 pix. and 200 Kb. TN offers, you would get more detail and less image compression to us. You can do that in almost any software by resizing to 800 pix. (the largest size) and then control the quality or compression amount when saving to adjust to the 200 Kb. of maximun size. Feel free to ask is you dont get it right.
