Very nice shot of this really innocent looking bug. Its appearance is very deceiving, though, as noted in your description. Well balanced exposure in spite of the presence of extreme light and dark tones. I think that the composition would benefit from moving the subject a little off center, however. Regards,

Great Capture. These weevils tend to fall to the ground as soon as they are aproached. Great sharpness and colours!

Hi Mark ! Weevils are really strange little , and you have captured this one so nicely. Excellent details, beautiful natural colors and excellent pose of the weevil. Exposure is perfect on the white flower. BG is a tad noisy but that'a minor problem for me. Very well done !
