The Swaollowtail (Papilio machaon) is one of the most beautiful butterfly in Israel and Europe. Its a big and colored butterfly that distribute all over the Holoartic region (North America, Europe, North Africa and all temperate regions of Asia). In Israel, it can be found all over the country, except the extreme deserts.
Wing span: 70 - 80 m"m.
Host plants: Rutaceae, fennel and other wild Carrots.
Activity time: March until November.
