Scarlet Lily Leaf Beetle
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Scarlet Lily Leaf Beetle (Lilioceris lilii) is a small beetle around 8mm long. It is not native to the UK but has been around in various quantities for the last century though sightings this far north have only begun to take place within the last decade. It feeds on lily leaves.
The photo was taken with a 2x teleconverter. |

Hi Andrew.
You have created a very impressive picture. It seems to me that this is a pose of Thinker. The light spot of BG locates extremely excellent and strengthens the impression from picture. Superb done. TFS,
Alexei.

Bonjour,
Sans doute la vue est-elle panoramique ! Belle couleur... Autant visible, elle doit indiquer que l'insecte n'est pas trop comestible.
Bonne journée.
