Last april. Cold foggy morning in the woods, just above my home. It was 8,30h and I was walking my dog (and camera :-) as everyday. He's jumping here, if you like.
------------------------------
Normandy has a mild humid climate and it's woodlands are gorgeous places to find fungi, flowers, insects and spiders. Flowers here are bluebells. Fungi on the tree are too far for a precise identification, sorry. Birds, hummmm, not easy with a dog! I love this place when the sun is slowly breaking thru the fog, timidly shining between the leaves, announcing a beautiful day. Kind of place where you walk slowly with eyes and ears wide open in all directions. A quiet place too. Wherever we live, we all have places like this where we can appreciate the luck of being on this earth. Just needs to be a bit receptive to it.
--------------------------
For the anecdote, the painter Claude Monet (1840-1926) had his house and gardens in the valley down these woods. When he stopped in the village of Giverny for the first time, amazed by the beautiful light of this region, he decided to stay. 43 years of painting nature. Impressionism was born. The rest of the story is well known.
Another shot of the same day session was posted on TrekEarth under the title "Magic".

Cropped, autocontrast, hues. Hope you'll like it.

Excelent scenery of the woods. Incredible picture with fog. Well done.

Mike

La brume crée un effet de mystère et de paix tout-à-fait magique. Superbe composition. Bravo Jean-Michel. Et merci de nous faire connaître votre univers et celui de Monet par la même occasion.

I love these misty scenes. This is an excellent shot. TFS.

Jean, Very pleasing scene. Many interesting elements here. A wonderful blend of flower, fungi & trees with that misty path ahead callin' your name... Great eye for this shot. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!

Wonderful shot- it makes me want to walk along with you. Fog is hard to get right but you managed very well- kudos.
Your note is very good also- all around great shot for me.

Great shot, I think the blue flours are giving a great contrast to the composition.
Well done.
TFS.

Good capture with an eerie feeling to it, pity about the yellow marking on the tree, otherwise it would have looked almost medieval ;-))
It's quite interesting that you get those bluebell woods (in England, too, I've noticed). Up here that same time of the year the woodland floor is all white because what we get everywhere are anemones ;-))

Jean Michel, this is a magical place you posted. The fog makes it seem sinister and one wonder were the trail leeds to. Very nice landscape. Well done.

I love your Footrot Dog THE DOG from OZ and NEw Zeeland in animation! Clever dogs, good way to see domestics on TN!
