Hello Heinz,
I find macro shots like this amazing, to be able to see so much detail that with our own eyes we never could see. Beautiful shot, I think the framing is superb, the way the lines of the wing structure span out to the corner of the frame is excellent. I do think the DOF is a little shallow causing a slight loss of detail, however looking at the exif data the light was low, so not much you could do other than use flash which I think would have changed the image. Maybe worth a try though.

Hallo Heinz, das ist so spitze! Genau was mir gefällt, so nahe wie möglich ran. Das Auge ist herrlich blau, bin ganz hin und weg, toll.
Bin schon soooo müde, mein Vater hat eine riesige Birke umgemacht und uns das Brennholz für den Kachelofen gebracht. Ich war seit 4 Stunden mit Aufschichten beschäftigt - ach ist das schön erholsam hier ;-) Tschüssi

Hi Heinz , a superb shot showing the deatils on the wings . i always feel we need to take these kind of shots too WRT butterflies which will reveal much more about the species.
