Close up shot of a mangrove tree nymph butterfly, Idea leuconoe chersonesia.
This butterfly is black and white like the other members of its genus, but the marginal and submarginal spots are conjoined to form an irregular black band, and the wing bases are yellow-tinted.
It was thought to have gone extinct from Singapore, until it was photographed in recent times, thus confirming its existence here.

Firstly welcome to TN! Secondly congratulations on your first Butterfly picture, I haven't managed to get a good shot of one yet. Its a lovely shot, great composition and lovely light and colours. DOF is good too, a very nice shot!
