[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Trying to get a handle on my new lens I headed out to a local lake yesterday and ran into a beautiful sky. Henderson Lake was built back in 1911 as part of Henderson Park. The lake is really a resevoir, and perhaps as a result of being an artifical feature, or due to a low rate of water flow, has an incredible build up algaes. The city has recently installed some solar pumps to increase the circulation.

PP: I don't have a grad filter for this lens yet, so I underexposed by 1.0 to keep the detail in the clouds, then applied a grad fitler in my edito before bringing up the light level. There were a couple of dust spots cloned out, resized and framed.

Hola Mike,
Una fotgrafķa preciosa, una perpectiva encantadora llena de sensibilidad, felicidades y saludos

Great landscape picture with very good and very interesting composition.

Hi Mike,
Big sky! Yes, one of my favorit subjects. You caught the structure in the clouds perfectly and kept good control on the exposure. I can clearly see the algaes in the water, especially where the clouds are reflected in the water. The only thing I would whish for is a less centered shoreline. But as a test, this is the best way to get a good result.

Niek

this photo is very good!

Great reflections. Lovely light and a very nice composition. This is a lovely landscape shot

That makes three of us with that Sigma lens! I'd better get busy and use it! Looks like it did a good josb. I really like your foreground and reflection. Making this a panoramic might be fun. Try cropping out the bright cloud at the top. It puts more focus on the foreground rocks, and they in turn along with the reflected clouds lead you to the far shore which is now higher in relationship to the whole. I tried it. It's kind of cool!

Hi Mike, lovely landscape with good reflections.
Great colors and sharpness.

Hi Mike,
Although the horizion line is pretty close to right thru the middle, I think it works well for this composition. Beautiful scenery. Exposure and PP work look great. Nice dramatic sky captured twice!

Good morning Mike,
Just time for a quick visit.
Nice capture. enjoy the rest of the weekend.

very nice one Mike.
your sigma did do it very good in the shot. It's good wide, the details are good, the reflection is very well seen and I think a 2/3 1/3 solution was a good posbility in the shot. farther very good photo, I made a WS so you see what I mean. well done.

Hello Mike,
Beautiful reflections!
The reflection will always be better than the original, since the water surface works as a filter...
This is a simple but pleasant composition, with a strong foreground interest!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hello Mike,
This is a very beautiful landscape photo. Composition is awesome, the colors are good, but they seem to be not completely natural, a little too saturated, but since I haven't been in this scene I can't really tell. Overall, a really great photo.
I also like you post processing idea. If you have a tripod, you can also try HDR (I haven't succeeded yet in such a method).

TFS,
Shahar.
