Hello Everyone

Im trying to learn how to make good landscape shots, i see it as a big challange. I took this one becouse i like that the tree seems so big and importent when it seem to stand so tall compared to the landscape behind it. The yellow things you see in the tree are birds nest. A perfect roof for a bird, dont you think.

PPWORK
Cropped (took away a big part below the tree to make the horison not to be in the middle of the shot)
Adjusted shadows and highlights
Slightly increased contrast
Reesize for TN
Framed

Regards
Mattias

Hi

I like what you have tried to do. The background is amazing and you have it at the right place and it is a lovley background.

As for the tree, you need to think about it a touch more. I have found with trees that are 'lop-sided' where the canopy is not central to the trunk, that you need to have the main part of the canopy to the open side of the picture - in other words the other way around to how you have it. It helps to balance the picture better.
The only other option woudl have been to have included the whole of the shadow for the tree...

any how that is just my opinion and I'm sure a few others will have some suggestions for you.

Thanks for sharing

Emma

Hello my friend,
do you want to make me cry?
I had to come back as soon as possible.
For the moment I enjoy your pictures.

Andrea

Hi Mattias,
Excellent work on the position of the horizon. Doesn't it feel more natural? You know, I looked through your gallery and saw a few photos with animals and an horizon. Automatically, you placed the horizon with those kind of photos on the 1/3 line.

It is an interesting read what Emma wrote and I can only Ditto her idea.

Good photo with excellent colors and details.

Niek

Hello Mattias,
Spectacular tree, I like the canopy shape. The landscape colours and relieve are lovely.
Maybe more space at right showing more shadow, and a bit more of sky on top wolud be better, but despite this is an ionteresting pic.
Best regards
Hernán
