[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Iberian Rock lizard (Iberolacerta monticola)
was quite common along the tracks in the Sierra de Gredos. Confusion with other lizards was possible. A lot of times I only saw a tail disappearing underneath the rocks. I am still not sure how many species occur in the Gredos.
Back home I saw the F stop I used was way too high. Maybe I should have used some blurring for the background but haven't really experimented with that yet.

The subject on the image which I will post tomorrow was just 10 meters further on the track. How long does it take to change change lenses??

Hi Jacob

Another splendid herpetofauna shot from you!
Great POV, very nice DOF (i'd say the f-stop wasn't a bad choise at all), excellent sharp details, good manage of the evident strong light and lovely colors.

Bravo and TFS

Precioso lagarto. Buenos detalles y colores bastante nítidos. El fondo acompaña de manera que resalta el animalillo.
Saludos,JL

What a beautiful and interesting lizard that you have very well captured ! I like its pose and the composition with rock. Exposure, DOF and sharpness are very good.
Congratulations Jacob and thanks for sharing.

Hi Jacob,
You have some great work in your gallery, a nice variety of shots. This is very nice, good detail and a great composition. Excellent exposure and colours, great work. I'm not sure you could do much more with the background, the DOF at f/13 is still relatively shallow, any less and the tail would fall completely out of focus.
Regards,
Adrian
