[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After left the work, i went to a lagoon for fishing with my wife near Sapanca Lake. we didn't catch any fish, but captured some interesting frogs and scenes at night.

When i was taking photos of these frogs, i heard that one of them jumped, i looked at what was it going and saw a crab substitued the frog near me, i thought that this crab and the frog had an affair there. Then i kept watched the crab, the crab moved to the another frog and saw that the crab got so close to other frog and tried to clasped it with its claw, but again that frog jumped to the water and left from there. That's an interesting, funny scene and it doesn't make sense to me. What was the crabs intention, i have no idea, maybe jut joking to frogs :-)

i tribute this photo to Horia, our reptiles and amphibian's specialist. i didn't meet any snake this summer but frogs are easy for me. i'm not sure about the id, maybe it's rana esculenta. Hoira can make the identification for sure:-)

Here is an interesting notes about the singing frogs!

Some frogs have vocal pouches that vary in size and stretch like balloons. These sacs serve as a resonating chamber, allowing the frogs to SING!
Male frogs vocalize by squeezing their lungs with their nostrils and mouth shut. Air flows over their vocal chords and into their vocal sacs blowing it up like a bubble gum balloon! Other frogs can make noises without such a sac.

For some species of frogs, only the males sing. Other types of frogs appear to have both male and female calls.
Large frogs have DEEP voices, meaning they call at a low frequency.
Small frogs sing in high chirps, meaning they call at a high frequency.
Cold frogs repeat their calls at a slower rate because the muscles controlling the sounds slow down!
Why do frogs sing? Well...it's actually for a variety of reasons!
Sometimes, frogs sing when they are trying to attract a mate. "HEY! Baby!"
Sometimes, frogs sing to mark their territory. "This is MY Lilypad!"
Sometimes, frogs sing becasue they know the weather is going to change. "Rain!!!"
Sometimes, frogs squeek when they are frightened or hurt. "Ouch! Eek!"

Hi Ersin,
Lol... For me frog does the same noise in English or French: wrebit! I guess they sound the same in all languages or it might depend on the specie :-) Good close-up of the little cutie. Nice POV and details. See you!

Merhaba Ersin,
Çok güzel bir kurbağa makrosu olmuş.Bakış açısı,renkler, kadraj ve komposzisyon kusursuz.Flaşın etkisi olsa gerek gözlerdeki detaylar kaybolmuş,yada flaşa karşı güneş gözlüğü takmış:)
Ellerine sağlık!

Hi Ersin

I am honored that i have a picture tributed to me...especially one comming from you :) (i promisse i'll soon return the favor...i thought about it ever since i took some snake shots in this last trip, really :))
I have to confess this was one of the most sifficul identification i've ever been faced with. The angle really isn't one that advantages such a process. Plus, the fact that a big part of Turkey is in Asia, not Europe made it even more difficult. I talked to some friend about this image, but unfortunately they, and of cuorse me, are used to european species and the fact that in this case there are more options changed some variables :))
After looking at many pictures, we reached the following conclusion: all green species from the Rana genus look very much alike :)))))))
That too, but this one is probably is a Rana ridibunda, but still not sure :) we had other pretty serious options, too. Sorry to dissapoint you :)(it's not a 100% ID)

Anyway, the shot is very beautiful otherwise, with splendid colors, great light and super eye contact.
Very nicely done, my friend!

Bravo and TFS
Horia

PS:not that it is a big thing, but you wrote my name wrong :))

Merhaba Ersin Bey.
Fevzi
