| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Three years ago we have been invaded by these insects, that eat the leaves of potatoes plant. I caught this one in the wall of my house, near the garden. Here we call it "escaravelho da batata", with 7-11mm, which origin is in the Rock Mountains, and was seen for the first time in central Europe in 1877, and unfortunately it was expanded very easy to all the continent. The female puts between 500 and 2.500 eggs in the down side of the leaves, and has few predators. |

Hello Guilherme,
This is a fine macro of the Colorado Beetle, sharp. well composed and you show it on a contrasting background. A good shot of a pest!
TFS, regards, Ivan
Hey Guilherme
Great focusing and lighting

Think someone should start a pest theme which would be good for reference as this photo is so clear and detailed, and huge, but its not really......is it....
