Gulls are seabirds in the family Laridae and subfamily Lari. They are closely related to the terns, and more distantly to the waders, auks and skimmers. Most gulls belong to the large genus Larus.
This versatile species breeds in a range of habitats, including cliffs, beaches, small islands, inland sites and even buildings. They also exploit rubbish dumps, particularly during winter .
Gulls are in general medium to large birds, typically grey or white, often with black markings on the head or wings. They have stout, longish bills and webbed feet.
Two to six eggs, which are variable in colour and patterning, are laid after April; incubation, which is carried out largely by the female, takes between 25 and 27 days. Both parents share paternal care of the downy chicks, which fledge after around 30 days.

merhaba güzel bir çalışma,
kadraj biraz sıkışık gibi geldi. Gözün net olması güçlendirmiş. Tebrikler.

Sebnem, I like this shot. I know these captures are difficult, even knowing you have lots of them around you, and I think you did a great job here.

Very nice POV, and don't worry: keep on sending them.

Very clear. They are such thieves at the beaches where I lived! Leave your food unguarded one minute, and they have it!

Tebrikler.

Selamlar,
Ahmet

Hi Sebnem.
I like the place where your house is located. I live not far from sea but I cannot see seagulls from my window: only sparrows, crows and tits (may be something else). Really, it a pity a bit that you did not managed to picture the tail. I see subject distance was so close. However, you managed to create the delicate shot of this beauty. My compliments and best wishes.
Alexei.

S.,
