This an excellent flash capture of the Humming-bird Hawk-moth. I might have tried cropping it a bit more, but this shot is pretty good anyway.

Hi Mark,
Great shot - you froze it in mid flight, exposure and focus are right on.
I guess you wanted to to keep both the flower and moth in the frame but in my opinion the moth is more important and looks a bit small in this setup, but that's just my opinion.
Anyhow - it is beautiful.

Hi Mark!
The debate raging on the TN Forum these days revolves round one major issue: Aesthetics or Technical Excellence? The consensus? Of course, the middle path!
Your image of this Hawk Moth hovering over a lantana flower is a perfect example of that middle path. It is technically superb and aesthetically rich. I love the way the moth and the flowers stand out against the pitch dark BG you have managed so very effectively.
