Don’t think it happened before that I post two images of the same subject..?

This time it was planned, to show you how wintertime effects light and the perception of colours!

Some of you took my First Snow [1] for a black and white image… No wonder, since that is what it looks like! But it is in full colour!

This one is the same subject but at a wider angle… Still very much giving a B&W impression, but I included the orange house to prove my point!

I promise to bring some more colourful stuff next time…

Hello Pablo,
I can see the yellow house. I also see the sky with faint blue tint. Feel a bit chilly with this snow covered mountain. Impressive landscapting picture.
JC

Hi Pablo,
This one is great too. I like that you also included part of the sky, since you always know how to capture it beautifully. I really love the brown color tone visable in the tree line, created by the fall colored leafs of the broadleaf trees. It looks like the storm front hit Europe pretty hard. We got a lot of damage from the stong wind and the high water levels.

Paysage splendide, l'hiver est là et les belles couleurs sont disparues
beaux détails
bravo

Nicely done, there is quite a bit more colour in this one which is nice., but I did prefer the closeness of the other shot.

you might have to point out the yellow house though, currently I can only see a red building...

I gather it is melting now though! I have a friend flying into Oslo tomorrow....

Believe me, I thought your previous one was a black and white picture, Pablo!
Though this one does have indications of colour here and there, it too carries the same impression by and large.
I like this picture better, mainly because of the inclusion of the sky in the frame.
And it is a beautiful image of the onset of winter in your country.
Thanks a lot and bye.

Hi Pablo,

I liked your previous snowpicture, but this is a beauty too with the inclusion of the nice sky.
Good angle you took it from, those trees seem to go on forever........
Very nice detail that little yellow house, I had to look a couple of times before I spotted it.
It's a impressive and beautiful photograph.
Thanks for sharing.

This one is also rich in details, Pablo. It is well captured. There is just so much detail to see in the trees here. I wonder if it would look a bit more balanced to have more snow on the bottom (fg), or maybe a different color on the frame to help the fg stand out.

P.S. Funny how we're so far apart yet having similar weather conditions.

Bonne journée.

Hi Pablo,
Nice to view snow covering pine trees and other deciduous trees during late autumn. I lived in upstate New York for three years, during late 80's. Winter scene is very much similar. This image brings back some memories. This is the thing I miss...
Great shot Pablo.

Ben Lakitan

Hello Pablo,
This is a good idea to publish an other view and indeed, we can see some colors in it :) I like those great details and this nice contrast. This gives an excellent result with nice texture. Thanks,
Claudine

Muy buenas Pablo.
Menudo rendimiento sacaste a este nevada, es muy bonita esta foto, ya que aporta un poco más de colorido que la anterior.
Un saludo

So you`ve finally gotten some snow down there in the south too! Hehe :) I see that the autumn colours are still on the trees. It is a very, very nice supplement to the almost monocrome snow/pine. It is like a b/w picture with dashes of colour in it. Very nice!
Its time to get out those winter clothers yet again.

TFS from your snowy friend

Bonjour Pablo
Félicitation pour cette superbe composition avec ce beau paysage d'hiver. Je vois que vous êtes en hiver vous autres aussi. Les couleurs et les détails sont très bons.

Merci et au revoir et bon week end...JP

I like both of your first snow images Pablo. You always have a good range of values in your shots. I do like the subtle colors in this one. It is hard to say goodbye to the vibrancy of autumn colors. But I suppose winter has its own charm and photographic challenges.

another freezer...bet it still a bit warm though
low horizon on snow tells us what the white stuff on the trees is...:)
these shots are always good using the compression of a long lens and sharpness as you have
got some frost to show soon...
thanks, boss

Hi Pablo,
This little colorful, Christmas-like, snow-covered forest is beautiful, like a postcard! Small blue holes in the sky and some brown parts on trees give clues about how much beauty this snow is hidding.
Best regards, José M.

Yes, here are the protruding orange tops of autumn trees - having still their leaves... I think this one corresponds closer with the ws of the previous one. I see the grey clouds very well exposed to give their detail. Very good job!

Hi Pablo,
Very nice nature capture.I think from now on it's gonna be all white everyewhere.
I like the colors a lot it's like a postcard.

Hi Pablo,

The first snow in your country!
Again a very beautiful picture about the snow landscape, we can see a little bit autumn colours between the snow this gives a wonderful composition.

Best regards,
John

Hello Pablo !
Whether is is spring, summer, autumn or winter, you always show us wonderful picture ! This one may not be very colorful, it is still very beautiful - the composition and POV are splendid, as ususal. I guess we will see more and more grey pictures now, during the winter :-) very well done !

Hi Pablo,
Wonderful shot and it reminds me of the scenes I witnessed recently. My visit to the lower Himalayas was very exciting as snow is not a common thing that we see in the plains. The snow laden trees really does present a beautiful scene. Kudos.
