No, this is the "Black Bear," which appears to be feeding on a decaying Chinnok salmon. The "Alaskan Brown bear," is the largest of the bears.

Wow, it must be amazing to see a bear like this while on a hike. I admit I would be a bit scared to see one so close in the wild.
