scrag sunning himself on the fence, I was aiming to take some video moments on the olympus, he normally does'nt like this camera, but to show how trusting he is let me get to within 4-6 inches. it was set on super macro and auto I think the detail it picked up is fantastic I thought I could see myself in his eye. Now he says he is a movie star and wants more worms.

Sue,

Great detail here, your right.
These tight shots on the small birds are very appealing.
Great job

Hello Sue,

Wonderful picture of this little bird. Colors are so natural and I am completly impressed by the details of the feathers! The exposition is very well mastered also. The only thing IMHO, is that the bird is too centered in the image. I think that it can be more interesting to put the bird on the right and have more space on the left.. Anyway great picture and TFS,

Michel

Hi Sue,
Piti it is sitting on someting 'unnatural'. That said...great capture;great details and sharpness in plumage.
Plumage, eyes and beak are wonderful...

Hello Sue,
This is a sharp close-up of your tame Robin. This may be a matter of opinion, but this shot could be even better if you cropped more on the right side, so putting him a little to the right of centre.
Though our Robins in Sweden are much shyer than those in the UK, it may be worth trying to tame one here.
TFS, regards, Ivan

Ps: I've just seen that Michel has the same opinion

Hi Sue,

Hi Sue,

A nice macro of your littkle Robin, you captured him very well razorsharrp at the eyes and breast a pity that the dof isnt enoughh to have the legs in focus, maybe I would have chosen for a tighter crop,

Regards,

Paul

Hi Sue, This is a new bird to me. Very pretty little thing. Good detail indeed. Interesting how you can gain these small birds trust over time. With my birding setup, if I keep at it I have been able to be right at the feeder, actually filling it, and small birds coming right in and picking at the food. Pretty cool. And this is a pretty cool shot. Very well taken. TFS Lyndon

wow your robin always looks great!
