| This group of cormorants was skimming low over the sea on their way south for the day. They tend to head north during the day and then south in the evening. Notice that the wing of one is below the level of the foreground wave. |

They are flying low. I often wonder if there is a micro climate of sorts that makes it easier or faster to cruise at such low levels. Wonderful stop action.

It is nor easy to focus on birds flying fast over the waves, and the light seems to have been low also which makes it so much more difficult.
