American Tree Sparrow
Spizella arborea

The American Tree Sparrow is not afraid of the cold! Present in Canada and the United States during the nesting period, it nests essentially in the Nouveau-Québec and Basse-Côte-Nord regions in Québec, in the tundra zone. During the winter, it migrates toward all the other Québec regions and is capable of surviving the worst cold weather conditions. It feeds mainly on seeds and plants, but can be tempted by insects, flowers and fruits during the nesting period. It also visits feeding dishes during the winter. The length of the American Tree Sparrow is 15 to 16 cm.

Critique:
Appréciation personnelle de la photo: excellente.
Bon impact visuel.

Rens, Superb sharpness & detail here..Perfect light, nice pose & well composed..Very nice!!

Rzorsharp details, superb lightening, nice composition and presentation. Wonderful. Don't you just love these little sparrows? :) Some people think they're dull because of their rather dull colors, but I just love them. In NL we call this "mus".

Superb capture, Excellent composition and POV. Tack sharp. Great catch Rene.

Very nice work Rene, lovely looking sparrow and you have done him proud. The composition and background are great and I love browns and greys so the colurs are superb too.

In short, another perfect one.

Excellent shots you have posted lately. I hate being away some time and not being able to recover time and critique all good shots. This one is very beautiful, superb clearness and colours. I dont think sparrows are as beautiful as you got here, you improved nature this time :)
The forest drummer is also impressing. Thanks.

One of my very favorite Sparrows and we only see them in the cold winter here in Massachusetts. Very nice shot, Rene.

Excellent shot with great pose on the bird and nice detail revealed. The dof has a great effect here. Well done Rene.

Very wonderful composition, the tree branches seem perfectly placed. The feathers are clear and sharp, the background nicely blurred. Excellent.
