Well Joanna, you have something to look forward to. Soon there will be new growth and blossoms and birds singing and bees buzzing. Hang in there but keep these good shots coming.

Very nice presentation Joanna. Excellent use of the limited dof here blurring the background and keeping the sharpness of the main subject. I like the soft colours very much - almost sephia. The composition is very good with the cirved line made by the seed capsules. However I would crop out the top of the picture just above the capsule in the upper right corner to get rid of the capsules in the top of the picture.
Nice and pleasant to look at - well done.

Hi Joanna
You sound just like my son in "sunny Scotland". no sun, no fun, all doom and gloom! I must say, for someone who has never experienced such weather, it is difficult to understand how you feel. Here, the sun is shining, it is hot, and I have chops on the griller, with quick catching-up between.
Very nice and artistic, once again you amaze me with what you can do in the light you have. These I only know from pictures like this, and I enjoy it. TFS

I just spent a week in the snow but with 35 degrees under the sun no way to take those kind of shots.
Very good work as usual.
Well done.
TFS.

Nice cold wintery image, could maybe do with being brightened up a little to make the snow white...

Maybe sad, Joanna, but you take a lot of joy and beauty out of it. As we say here, it only depends in the eyes of who is looking...
This is a nice compo, if you used just a bit faster speed you would get more contrast between the subject and BG after in PS. Thanks for posting.

Another lovely artistic shot from you Joanna. You will have to remember where these plants are this Spring/Summer so you can re-photograph them for us. Well done...

HI Joanna, nice picture. The focus is well directed and nice use of DOF to get a blurred BG. I feel it could be a bit brighter although this could the the camera freaking out due to all the whites. Well done.

This photo and your note reminds me that I too am waiting for spring! Can't wait to start taking bright, green, vivid spring and summer photos!
This is lovely in it's texture though, contrasted against the blurry background is very nice. Well done.

Bardzo ładna kompozycja kolorki równieź wyszły świetne.
Joanna, a "cold" beauty. Another great composition. Beauty is really everywhere, in everything. Congratulations.
By the way, there's poet from Poland I like a lot - Wislawa Szymborska. I know her name is not written correctly here, for I don't know how find the correspondente letters in Polish, but I know you know what I mean...
I read her poems in English, and I enjoy them a lot.
Regards.

I'm a big fan of spring and summer too Joanna. Unless, of course, there are ski slopes nearby or snow deep enough to own a pair of crosscountry skis. Neither of which I have here...;-( But, we do have a solid 4 seasons here, which keeps one from taking any of them too much for granted...;-)
This is a very beautiful picture! Quite artfully done!
Thanks,
Dave
