Hello Pam,
it is a surprising sight to see a gannet without any sea around. I suppose this bird was about to touchdown. A marvalous sharp and great shot. But to keep the learning part up I'll give my opinion about two postprocessing features:
1. The sky in the left top corner is a severe distrackter. Maybe some cloning (nasty but sometimes effective habit)
2. Don't know whether you cropped it. I personally like a little more space around the bird.
I can't bring up more nits, leaves only space for a big compliment.

Regards, Jacob

Hi Pam,
Very nice picture of this Gannet. I like the pose of the bird very much. Nice wing-spread, colours and a good crop. You captured the bird on the right moment. Compliments.

This is a really great photo. I love this frozen moment! It seams like a grey day but surely being able to take this photo converted it to a bright and glorious day! Fantastic composition and I love the crop.

Thanks for sharing!

Hello Pam,
It's so good and artistic your photo!
You got the bird in focus, with a lot of details, and a lovely light and ilumination over his head.
The DOF brings a very nice landscape as background.
The composition is very good also.
Personally, I would prefer a simpler frame, in order to fully enjoy the great picture.
Congratulations and happy holidays,
JM

Hi Pam

Another terrific in-flight shot of this gannet here from you!
I must say, these birds are really beautiful and i've started to like them a lot eversince i've seen them on TN.
The side POV here is excellent and it provides a good view of the face of the bird. The focus on the head is impeccable and the sharpness is impressive.
Also the DOF is great, the exposure spot-on and the colors charming as usual :)
Very nicly framed and composed, as well.

Bravo, TFS and Happy Holidays
