Forest! where is it?
Well its a Juniper forest, you can see the change from taller conifers to these smaller shrub like juniper trees. Very aromatic they are, in Nepal they burn branches as an offering. In the UK we use the berries for making Gin as it imparts a strong flavour. The berries are also used in cooking game meat. Thats all I know for now. Anybody got any other nice information? |

Simon,
this is excellent. Light, clouds, landscape, sharpness, all perfect. My congratulations.
What comes to my mind when looking at this pic: Maybe this is an abandoned pasture. Low bushes like Rhododendron and the first trees take a long time to reconquer the soil.
I wish you a merry Christmas, Dietrich
