[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These are Andean Flamingos in Laguna Negro Francisco in the Chilean National Park of Nevado Tres Cruces. The park is named after the mountains in the background. The elevation of the lake is 4,000 meters (13,120 feet) the mountains are in the order of 6,000 meters (19,600 feet). The general area is known as the Maricunga District and hosts numerous gold, silver and copper mines. The wild life here in the park is completely unaffected by the mining activity.

A beautiful scene , well composed & great timming. Its slightly noisy but that can be easily dealt with.The note is informative.

Really nice colours and contrasts between the mountains; lower level and water area. Its great to see flamingos in the wild, glad to see Chile still has some undistrubed areas left for nature. Thanks for showing Dean.

Very nice composition! Good colors, depth and sharpness. The movement of the birds is captured just fine.
