Another beautiful macro work from you!
Indeed, this banded demoiselle looks more than charming and you managed to capture it from a great fromtal POV. Hence, the details and focus on the head is terrific!
I also like the lighting very much, the strong contrast between the damsel and the leaf in it sitting on and the nice shadow it casts on it.
The DOF used here is excellent, too, keeping a lof of the insect if good focus.
The vertical composition is wonderful and the presentation great!

Hi Monika,
The rule book says symmetry and central framing do not work. I see you threw the book out the window and headed your way, doing just great. Here symmetry works just fine, especially when complimented with pin sharp detail and brilliant colour rendition. Great shot indeed!!!

What a delight to see you posting your fabulous pictures once again! I was sort of "out of commission" for the past 2 weeks and could not get back to your postings sooner in response to your critique of my picture of a dragonfly posted around Christmas.
The close-up image of this Banded Demoiselle's face leaves me speechless in amazement at its sheer beauty. This is Monika at her best once again! What a pleasant thought :-)!

Una macro nítida, clara y bien enfocada Monika con bellos colores y una excelente iluminación.
Los detalles del insecto son realmente muy marcados, sobre todo en la cabeza del mismo.
Me agrada la combinación utilizada entre el encuadre vertical y el punto de vista captado.

The details of the insect are really very marked, mainly in the head of the same one.

Another excellent shot, unusual but interesting and creative POV. I like your choice of a relatively shallow DOF here, it works very well with the focal point low in the image and really adds emphasis to the amazing detail you've captured. More great work from you!
