389 Seagulls
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Near my home is a river where Steelheads run this time of year therefore attracting a lot of fish eating birds. I was walking along that river focusing on a bald eagle that was perched a short distance away when the flock got spooked and took flight, my camera was set aperture priority for the eagle when I quickly turned around and took a couple of shots at the seagulls. The background shows black, although it was taken in daylight at around 3 in the afternoon, the black background hides dark trees (mostly cedars and jack pines)showing the white birds against it. I wish I had kept the statistics of the photo but I never intended to post it....after all it was taken too fast, no time to set aperture and speed.
As for the 389 seagulls..........lets just say, within a couple of hundreds, no I didn't count them, then I resumed my search for the eagle. |

Nice picture Jack,
Simplicity make it all. Focus, exposure, contrast are good. And visual impact is there. I like it. TFS

Bravo.
