I like so much the POV you used to make this capture, got excellent details on the insect, very clear and sharp.
This is a really uncomon background for a grasshopper picture, it's very original.

The brown grasshopper stands out beautifully against the red BG, Alexei. Apparently, this is yet another nature shot with a car on the scene!

Hi Alex!
Please don't be angry with me but I realy don't like red base, It's so distracting and disturbing, looks very unnatural.I know you are experimenting but this color is too strong for me, the hopper is not standing out, he is overwhelmed by this red metal even though he looks great.

A grasshopper on the hood of a car; what a great idea.
The colour contrasts woke me up.

Again here the note is the main element of the post. I know you have more beautiful or artistic macros, but this one here fits the overall discussion pretty well.
The details and colors are lovely and well saturated, the lighting is great and the side POV is excellent.

je n'ai pas lu toutes la note car la traduction n'est pas exacte mais je pense avoir compris que vous aviez beaucoup de vent pour ce cliché qui pourtant est assez reussi,avec une assez bonne netteté,c'est bien vu.

I don't know if I well understand all this but is it the same car that the Mantis was on? ... Sorry, I have problem with my English these times I guess. If so, what's up with those insects and cars, this is amazing! I like the contrast between the grasshopper’s color and the red; this is very strong.
