Lobed Argiope (Brimba kbira tal-widien)
Largest Maltese spider (male 25mm / female 7mm excluding legs). Legs often extend up to 40mm. Builds large orb web in particular between prickly pears (Opuntia ficus-indica) leaves. Found mostly in valleys and wooded areas.
