[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These flowers are little composites that lend their name from st Jack. They are very abundant in the dunes of Holland and are eaten mainly by these beatiful black and orange striped creatures that will fly around as St. Jack butterflies in August and than will be black and red.

Hallo Gerrit,
Prachtige foto,ga zo door! tfs.

Gerrit
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea) is a very common wild flower in the family Asteraceae that is found throughout Europe, usually in dry, open places. By now it has also been widely distributed as a weed elsewhere...

Great shot to show the "rupsen"... that will turn into beautiful "vlinders"...

If these dunes were near Ostende, they would be the Flinders of Flanders!

Tfs, Jay

PS I find photo somewhat dark, so have done a WorkShop for you; hope you approve.

PS2 Might I suggest that you show a seperate shot in the WS that shows the ragwort with flower heads and petals before they are grazed off by these caterpillars. ;)

Hoi Gerrit,
Een zeer mooie foto met erg mooi detail. Scherpte diepte is perfect, maar zoals Jay reeds aangaf, is de foto iets te donker. Het aanpasse van de belichting zou helpen.
Groeten,
Niek
