Kestrel - Falco tinnunculus
Gheppio, giovane
the green spot in top plain is only a blade of grass. This young Kestrel was young than one brood of 5 pulli. It had been flied from little and in this stage of their life they are confident. I have been able to approach to me nearly to touch it with hand.
Questo giovane era l'ultimo nato nato da una nidiata di 5 pulcini dell'anno riproduttivo 2005. L'ennesimo nato in un sito che seguo dal 1996. Era coś confidente che potevo quasi accarezzarlo.

Amazing sharpness on this kestrels eye.
Would have been great had the beak just been a bit sharper with a narrower aperture, but looks like you were limited with shutter as it was, not to worry then (perhaps higher ISO could have allowed this next time).
Where did you take this? Some more info would be good in your note about the shot.
There seems to be a green smudge on his chest is that something in the foreground or just on his feathers? Nice portrait, well done,

Great shot of the Kestrel Angelo.
Very sharp with good POV. The eyes really shine out, perfect exposure. He looks like a young Prince.
