This guy has been bred for racing, it looks like he's got a lowered front suspension :) The detail is excellent and the image is very sharp. Thanks for posting

A superb macro effort, Gert. Stunning anatomical details, and wonderful color contrast between the brown and green hues. Impressive shot.

The best I can do on the ID is a type of Snipe-fly my best guess is Rhagio tringaria. Superb detail and I love the lighting. Very well done.

Very nice Gert so much detail and beautifully light.

Great capture with excellent sharpness, colours and DOF. I think this is the "Mogens Lykketoft fly", the same fly which Mogens posted to TE a while back. The text says he hasn't found out the real name yet (at the time of writing), but I know for sure he has since then, so he can probably help/confirm ;-))

Very nice one Gert! I really get into the small detail of super macro these days (since TN). The camera is our microscope and the creator offers endless opportunities!! Don't you think? The light on this photo seems perfect, bringing out an almost bronzed look to your "bug"..

A superb macro photo, Gert. Very sharp and clear. I like those.

I missed it, how could i? This lovely shot was not mend to be missed. The light is perfect and reflects of just about everything on the insect. Outstanding detail and a great compo. This is an example to all of us. Brilliant.
