[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo on a cold day. This area of woodland usually has a territoral Robin in residence and he tends to hold his ground by shooing away the Tits. However, the UK birds seem to be nesting early this year. The Robin was otherwise distracted by wooing a female Robin and the tits took their change to covet the nuts I put out for them.

Parus caeruleus : Blue Tit

Our commonest tit. Widely and abundantly distributed over most of Britain, absent only from bare uplands and outlying islands of the N/W.

Deciduous and mixed woodland, gardens, parks and hedgerows. Nests in holes in trees and buildings and readily uses nest boxes. Frequent visitor to bird tables, especially where peanuts are provided.

Small and colourful, the combination of blue and yellow making it easily identified. Compare with larger great tit. Sexes similar, although male usually brighter.

12cm

Lovely little bird. I think we have this kind in Sweden too. Very good photo.

Good capture nice colour saturation boost, excellent angle/POV good focus and DOF Well composed, tfs rgds Necip.

I do not know what is the problem but it seems to me that this image is a bit noisy and soft.
I tried a workshop to improve it...nothing fancy...
The colors are nice but not as sharp as I would like it to be.

Hi Deborah,
the colours are very nice and the POV and composition as well.
It's seems you have cropped it a bit hard and the picture is
slightly OE, the white in the head and cheek.
Well done.

Hi Deborah.
I like your shot, nice lights and colours and interesting eye contact with the bird. The atmosphere is very nice too.
I agree with methos that shapness and noise in the BG could be improved a bit, I think it might be because you made a tight crop of the original shot.
Althoght composition is a question of taste, i also made a WS, hope you like!
Best regards, Felipe.

Very good capture. Sharp but background looks too busy. Cropping from left should also improve the composition.
Best wishes,
Hakan

Hi Deb. I like this little bird very much. You have caught it well and clarity is superb as shown by its bright eyes. From one bird lover to another on opposite side of the world, well done. Murray.

Hi Debz,
You have certainly caught this one just right. Nice and sharp. Good pose and catchlight. Justa bit too much saturation as the colours look unreal. I am visited by about a dozed Blue Tits but I have never seen one quite so blue.
Keep shooting,
Regards,
Peter

I love this little fellow! We don't see them in Canada (and I thought the Steiff toy was a fantasy until I saw your photo of the real thing)
