Hello Oz,
an excellent picture of the beetle with nice contrast against the background. Focus and sharpness are pretty good. In my opinion, a lower angle would have been more advantageous.

Finally I can see here on TN a picture of ground beetle! :) Thanks for showing it! :)

According to the picture I have to say that it is a really nice photo taken in natural habitat, with very good DOF and nice POV. I like also a warm colours of BG and contrast between beetle and the sand.

NIce to see a species of Tiger/ground Beetle that is new to me.
This shot is well composed and pretty sharp but I agree with Peter about the POV, but as this is a speedy individual that might not have been possible.
