Hi Rupert,
Welcome to TN!
You captured this iguana in a nice pose, great sharpness and details.
It looks to me like the spirit of the Maya... still watching the sea. I like the contemplative mood of this picture.
Best regards,
Toni

Hi Rupert,
I would have cloned the species in the sea:-) and it would have been a superb image for TrekNature.

A warm welcome to TN, Rupert.
What a wonderful POV and pose of this iguana.
I remember the incredible blue of the water and the fine white sand at Tulum. They make a fantastic background.
The iguana seems to be looking over his realm.
Thank you for sharing. : )

Hi Rupert and a warm welcome to TN
This is an outstanding capture!
The sharpness and definition of the textures on this iguana are simply fantastic and the pose you managed to capture it in is just superb! It also gave you a gorgeous perspective in the BG - with that very nice beach - but more importantly it blurred the BG nicely, isolating your subject beautifully.
The colors are also lovely and very well saturated and the exposure is excellently managed, as well.
Perhaps the only nit (if it can be called that) is the fact that your subject is positioned in the center of the shot. Maybe by placing it somewhere in the first third from the left would give you a better composition - with more room in the direction the iguana is looking.
Anyway...this are very small details and are actually very subjective.
All-in-all a splendid post!
Bravo and TFS
