a superb macro shot, the detail is outstanding, you can see every hair.
i like the rich golden colouring you have caught and the way you have maintaind the exposure on the black body parts.
contrasts really well with the green background.

Hello Sergio!
I have to say that this macro is great beacuse of the following reasons:
- the object - amazing creature with fantascic structures on its head :) By the way, this is a member of genus Bocydium, most probably B.globulare
- picture is really great: very good DOF and POV, I also like the contrast with BG.
On the other hand it would be nice to know the size of this species :)

não sei como esse inseto consegue equilibrar tudo isso na cabeça, parece até aquela famosa cantora brasileira (que era portuguesa afinal) que usava todo esse aparato...
vc tem idéia para que serve esse pendúculo afinal ?
Como sempre, suas fotos são irrepreenciveis..
DOF, POV, foco cores e fundos...
mais uma perfeita e quem sabe um dia eu apreenda...
